RIP MJ

Michael Jackson, one of the most widely beloved entertainers and profoundly influential artists of all-time, leaves an indelible imprint on popular music and culture.

During his extraordinary career, he sold an estimated 750 million records worldwide, released 13 No.1 singles and became one of a handful of artists to be inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Guinness Book of World Records recognized Jackson as the Most Successful Entertainer of All Time and “Thriller” as the Biggest Selling Album of All Time. Jackson won 13 Grammy Awards and received the American Music Award’s Artist of the Century Award.

RIP!

Faith without deeds is dead…

Two year old street kids that may or may not eat this week are on my mind. People infected with HIV who can’t afford the needed medication. Homeless families with no chance of survival are on my mind. What can we do, why are we not doing more? Where do we start? Well Sean if you can just help save one life…..one is not enough when millions are on the line! It’s time to get involved.

I just feel helpless sitting in a cubicle all day when I could be out there, serving, feeding, cooking, holding, praying, loving, and sharing. I feel like that since of community I had in Africa is missing, people trying to take care of people.

How do I respond? I know, small steps, small things are important. I am on a journey, who am I bringing along, and who am I walking with? How can we work together to get things done?

Now that I have seen, I am responsible ~ faith without deeds is dead….

Are you hungry?

Chances are if you are reading this, you are not truly hungry. You are probably reading this while sipping on a latte or something along those lines in your favorite coffee shop. That is what I am doing as I type this! I do not believe that I have actually been truly hungry. Can you imagine the feeling of not eating for days and the loss of hope knowing that there is no food on the way, there is no Burger King down the street and if there was you have no money to get any!

The Rich, that’s you and me, will feast on food today and again tomorrow while the Poor starve and yes…die. Do you ever stop to think about that? While we eat, others die from not eating. Can you believe that? In 2007 people still die from hunger! The US alone produces enough food to feed the world. Can you imagine if the world got together on the same page to take care of the poor? Can you imagine if the United States of America led the way in this campaign? Do you think we would still be hated by the world?
